Reasons for poor reversing of the four-way valve and precautions for maintenance

1. Possible reasons for poor reversal of the four-way valve

1 The coil is disconnected or the voltage does not meet the performance requirements of the coil, causing the spool of the pilot valve to fail to operate;

2 Due to external reasons, the pilot valve is deformed, causing the valve core to fail to move;

3 Due to external reasons, the capillary tube of the pilot valve is deformed and the flow is insufficient, and the pressure difference required for reversing cannot be formed and cannot be operated;

4 Due to external reasons, the main valve body is deformed, and the piston is stuck and cannot move;

5 The sundries in the system enter the four-way valve and block the piston or the main slide valve and cannot move;

6 When brazing the piping, the temperature of the main valve body exceeds 120°C, and the internal parts are thermally deformed and unable to operate;

7 The air-conditioning system refrigerant leaks, the refrigerant circulation is insufficient, and the pressure difference required for reversing cannot be established and cannot be operated;

8 The refrigerant circulation volume of the compressor cannot meet the necessary flow of the four-way valve reversing;

9 When the speed of the inverter compressor is low, the necessary flow required for commutation cannot be guaranteed;

10 The scroll compressor causes the system to generate a hydraulic shock, which causes the piston of the four-way valve to be damaged and unable to move.

2. Maintenance precautions:

1 If you need to remove the four-way valve when repairing the air conditioner, please remove the four-way valve assembly first, soak the main body of the four-way valve in water and then remove the piping. If you want to remove the four-way valve directly, please use a damp cloth to remove the four-way valve. Fully wrap, which can prevent the internal parts of the four-way valve from being damaged by the high temperature when welding the piping, thereby affecting the cause analysis of the four-way valve;

2 When overhauling the air conditioner, if the four-way valve needs to be overhauled, the air conditioner maintenance personnel should confirm whether the power of the coil is cut off before removing the coil from the main body of the four-way valve; in addition, after replacing the four-way valve, remember to reinstall the coil. It can prevent the coil from being energized and causing overcurrent to burn out.

3 When disassembling the main body of the four-way valve, please remove the coil first, and don't let the valve body and outside be heated, so as not to burn the main slide valve and affect the failure analysis.

4 When welding a new four-way valve, please prevent water from entering the valve body.

5 When using water for cooling, please prevent water from entering the valve body.

6 When refilling the refrigerant, please prevent overfilling or insufficient filling to avoid poor operation of the four-way valve.
