Under the new energy standard, the market structure of the air-conditioning industry will continue to change profoundly. The strong will become stronger while the weak will inevitably be eliminated.

According to the requirements of "Speed Controllable Room Air Conditioner Energy Efficiency Limit Value and Energy Efficiency Level", the energy efficiency limit value of my country's inverter air conditioner has been increased from the current 3.0 to 3.9, and the entry threshold has been increased from 5 to 3, the original 3, Level 4 and Level 5 air conditioners will be completely eliminated, and Level 1 and Level 2 air conditioners will automatically be downgraded to Level 2 and Level 3. At the same time, the new standard will also add level 1 energy efficiency products.

According to industry analysts, the current market stock of energy-efficient air-conditioning products of level 4 and 5 is very small, but energy-efficiency level 3 products still maintain a certain amount of inventory. According to the requirements of the new energy efficiency standard, it is estimated that more than 30% of the inverter level 3 air-conditioning products will face Out.

The second meeting of the technical roadmap revision working group of China’s home appliance industry revealed that by 2015, my country’s air-conditioning industry plans to achieve a 20% increase in the energy efficiency level of inverter room air conditioners compared to 2010, and another 20% increase in 2020 compared to 2015, and By 2020, the proportion of inverter air conditioners will increase to 80%.

According to data released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the air-conditioning market in the first half of the year grew by over 30% year-on-year. Data shows that in recent years, my country's air-conditioning market environment is undergoing significant and in-depth changes. The era of large-scale market increment has come to an end, and "renewal" and "secondary purchase" have become the mainstream. Wu Wenxin, president of Midea's home air-conditioning division, said that the growth of air-conditioning companies can no longer rely on extensive scale growth, and must be transformed into the realization of "product premium capabilities" based on consumer value.

At present, my country's air-conditioning industry presents an oligarchy pattern dominated by Gree, Midea and Haier. It is understood that in the first half of this year, the top three air-conditioning production and internal sales accounted for nearly 70% of the share, and exports accounted for nearly 60%.
